Context
MKN Technisch BV is a Belgian contractor working across renovation, finishing and construction techniques, publishing in Dutch and serving clients on both interior and exterior work.
Challenge
The business covers nine distinct trades: electrics, parquet, heating, interior and exterior renovation, painting, plastering, screed, tiling and plasterboard. Listed as nine services, that reads as nine small specialisms, and a client with a whole-property renovation concludes they will need to appoint nine suppliers. The commercial value is precisely the opposite — that one contractor can carry the entire job — and the structure had to say so.
Strategy
The trades are presented as one renovation capability with nine components rather than as a service menu. The homepage states the combined proposition first and only then enumerates, so the sequence a visitor reads is capability, then evidence, then contact.
Projects sit immediately after the trade list, because in construction the proof is the finished work and nothing else substitutes for it.
Design and system
The page is short by design. A contractor's client is usually deciding whether to make a phone call, not researching a category, so the composition prioritises reaching a decision quickly: proposition, trades, projects, contact. Two phone numbers and a quote request are held in the header throughout, since the phone remains the primary channel in this trade.
Build
The site is built for Dutch-language delivery in the Belgian market, with the trade list structured so an additional discipline can be added without redesigning the section. Contact routes are duplicated in the header and at the close of the page rather than isolated on a separate contact page.
Outcome
Presented nine trades — from electrics and heating to plastering, screed and tiling — as a single renovation capability, so a client with a whole-project brief is not forced to assemble it from parts.
